Bliss from Blessings #47,48,49,50

47.
  • Feeling like I have a little more control over my life today, even though I really don't :)
  • Comparing grocery ads. I've been a tremendous slacker with my menu plans, about a 6 month slacker, but I still take a little time to save some cash. It's good for my brain.
  • This is gross....BUT....I finally decided to pop a zit the 'right' way. It totally worked! Not as quickly as I wanted it to, but still got the same fulfillment when I popped it. (Don't laugh at me like I'm a weirdo! You know you love it when you vaccum and you hear it sucking up all the dirt! Same thing!) Worth it...thanks Beth
  • SYTYCD!!!
  • Tyler. He is a blessing for sure.
48.

  • Sleeping SO soundly on my new free mattress from my friend Tiffani. She was so sweet to give us this practically new mattress that is capital 'A' amazing
  • Getting so many recommendations for photographers! I am really excited to take pictures, so thank you!

  • A real dinner for the first time in a while
  • Coming up with a great Christmas present for T

  • Listening to a wonderful older woman in my ward impart some of her wisdom and experience with us
  • A good visit with some neighbors
  • Unloading my brother's street bike and it was safe and sound. A HUGE blessing.

50.

  • Getting my grandma to buy a pair of purple snake skin flats
  • Spending time with my nephew!!! What a cutie pie...even though he sometimes gets random projectile vomit in my direction....lol
  • Seeing my aunt Helen for the first time in years! It was so fun to catch up and just hang out with her
  • Singing karaoke and actually having fun, not trying to be good. That was good for my soul
  • Potstickers :)

Bliss from Blessings #52 and #51

51.
  • Getting to mix and mingle with some interviewees at work. What a blessing to be on the other side and finished with all of that stress!
  • Raspberry Lemon cheescake....for free :)
  • Sneaking out early to take some potential hires back to the airport (to bad I got a little crazy in the airport and missed my exit so I really didn't get home any earlier)
  • Putting the finishing touches on T's resume. It is a thing of beauty.
  • Being able to finally take some time and write in my journal.

52.

  • Tyler waking me up just in time to catch Ruby before throwing up next to the bed. He's a much better parent...haha
  • A dreary and overcast morning with a hint of crisp, freshness. A wonderful combination.
  • A free mattress from my friend at work! It's nearly brand new and too soft for her back...WHAT....too soft???!!! Bring it on!!! Especially if it's free.
  • Finding out I have a little more time to work on a project. I could breathe a sigh of relief and make sure I was really prepared.
  • Water. I like water alot.

  • The opportunity to buy a needy child some Christmas presents! Here it comes folks...ready or not....Christmas is ramping up speed!
  • A friend's unabashed desire to pray in public and asking me to offer it. I was ashamed that it caught me off gaurd. Perspective.
  • An unexpected visit from my in-laws at 9:30 last night! They stayed the night with us and I sent them out the door this morning with yogurt in hand for their breakfast. It was really wonderful. A little taste of home.

Bliss from Blessings #56,55,54

54.
  • Motivation. It is refreshing to be kicked in the pants every once and a while. Uncomfortable, but good for the soul.
  • Home made bread with my lunch!!
  • So You Think You Can Dance....caught ya! It's been a while.
  • I can feel the winter coming. I want to bake and cook. It makes me feel complete, like this is the person I feel comfortable being. Happy, working, in the kitchen making others happy. It's really nice.
  • T is doing some great stuff with the youth at church and it is awesome to start learning their names and feeling a part of something so important in their lives.
55.

  • Finally back in the office and it feels so good! I like being home.
  • A couple of last minute projects to keep me busy. I know it's weird to be grateful for last minute things, but it does make me move forward with purpose and direction and I like that feeling.
  • Watching dancing with the stars!!
  • Making some butternut squash. I never really know what to do with it, but I like playing around. One day I'll figure out the perfect dish.
  • Snuggling up with little Joey dog on the couch...she's a good snuggler.
56.

  • I quiet Sunday morning. We both slept until 8am...that's a big deal.
  • Playing with 2 little cutie-pies during church! I know, totally irreverent, but I couldn't help it. One was walking away so I just had to grab him and the other was tossed into my lap as his mom ran out with the daughter :) I was just helping out!
  • Finally eating a real home-made meal. I ate out all last week in Minnesota, so Tyler ate out all last week in Phoenix. Yummy tacos made my Tyler and I dug into my homemaking roots and made some homemade bread. Felt good.
  • Preparing for a little Christmas event with the ladies in my ward. We are doing a progressive dinner down a beautiful street close to our neigboorhood. Salad here, Dinner there, and Dessert some where else. Should be fun!
  • Finally seeing Lyndsey! I never get to see her! At least we got to hang out for 10 minutes...better than nothing.

  • Listening to some amazing and uplifting music. It's been a while since I dipped from my EFY (Especially for Youth) collection.
  • Having two clean healthy puppies...they lift my heart. How could you not be happy when you wake up to a cute face that's breathing all over your face....haha
  • Taking a little time to just relax and live in my life at this moment. It's not often I take a break for the neccessities of the future. I should do that more often.

I got some t-shirts for $2.25!!!!

Bliss from Blessings #63, #62, #61, #60, and #59 whew!

Okay, so it's been a while. I'm going to try and remember what I can, so you may not get 5, but some is better than none.

59.

  • Daylight savings time, so I didn't have to wake up 2 hours early in Minneaoplis this morning
  • Yummy dinner at Red Stone....I was so full of yummy appetizers and yummy noodles
  • Fooling people with my best rendition of 2 truths and 1 lie to date!
  • Fluffy beds
  • Knowing that I am missed when I am away

60.

  • Being super productive at the airport
  • M&M Trail Mix....a life saver on a long flight
  • Having a friend to travel with so it's not so lonely
  • Finally being comfortable running around in a bunch of different airports. It's kind of scary when terminals start to feel like home...lol
61.

  • Watching a movie with Christie and Jessie while the boys loaded their bikes
  • Having time to regroup before I left for Minnepolis
  • Arby's curly fries, can you say fantastic?
62.
  • A good, long walk with Christie with our pooches. It was really good to catch up with her and hear about her job. I guess getting off my keester was good too, haha.
  • Rocking out to some jams in the camper trailer after getting out the shower (and not realizing that everyone outside in the camp could hear my music too!)
  • We were SO SO blessed that Sheridda didn't hurt herself any more than she did. A good gash on her chin, but nothing life threatening, so blessed.
  • Boys that are well-skilled in DIY doctoring. A little tape, super glue, and peroxide and anything can be fixed!
63.

  • Half day Friday!!!
  • Getting a ton of errands done on my way home
  • Tyler's wedding ring is finally fixed. We have been battling Kay Jewelers for over 3 months to get this ring repaired. Finally after laying the smack down I was satisfied with their repairs. Picky...maybe....Right...definitely. :)
  • Snuggling up in the cold, deserted, dunes. It just brings me back to nature and let's me forget everything complicated. It may be something about just satisfying my basic human need of warmth that just grounds me in my life.

Bliss from Blessings #64 and #65

64.
  • Helping a friend with her first home construction project! Duct tape and sheet rock...good times
  • Finally getting a good fire under my keester today and getting some good work turned out
  • Trunk or Treat at the church.....tons of little gouls and goblins, yummy chili dinner, and a trunk covered in spider webs. So Fun!
  • A husband that is smart and handy at midnight after a long day of work. Our fire alarm decided to beep because it's battery was low. We can't just take it down because it sets off all the alarms in the house and we don't have any extra batteries. Good thing Tyler's middle name is "McGuyver"
  • Getting the camper trailer all prepared and clean....it's dune season!

65.

  • Spending 2 hours totally dedicated to painting a piece of ceramic work. It was so great to zone out but at the same time zone in to my creativity. It felt really great and I really reconnected with myself for the first time in a while.
  • A good visit with Nicole. The poor girl came over to visit at the craziest time (it was my fault we were in the middle of craziness), my dogs were all over her, I left her outside my front door for a good 5 minutes.........she's such a good sport and such a good friend.
  • Having a washer and dryer that work. I seriously washed about 5 loads of laundry and I am so grateful for those machines
  • Fantastic cold weather!!! I love it!! It gave me a little glimpse of the winter with the reassurance that it will warm up this weekend.
  • Visiting with my friends the Callie and Brian. They are such a great little family and give me good perspective (and the great thing is...they probably don't even realize it....)

  • Jumping rope last night while I watched tv. I haven't done that for a very long time.

  • Tyler doesn't have anything going on tonight so I have him all to myself!
  • The flexibility of professors to allow Tyler to take classes online that really aren't supposed to work that way. That is a major blessing. Major.
  • Seeing my mom with a new haircut. It's been a good oh I don't know....18 years since my mom has had a different haircut. It's a good change, way to move on mom :)

68.

  • Tyler's parents drove up Sunday morning to visit with us and go to church. It was so nice to see them and spend some time together.
  • We are all so blessed that the church is okay....I guess there was some electrical smoke coming from lights so church had to be cancelled! We're just glad the building didn't burn down.

  • Not having any homework to help Tyler with!!! Yay!

69.

  • Having so many wonderful people over for our 2nd annual Halloween pumpkin carving party! This is the second time we have hosted a little gathering for all of the people that started work at the same time I did. We have a great group of friends from the office...thanks for coming everyone!
  • Watching Tyler play charades. He's such a good sport, especially when I know that is not really his cup of tea. He would have much rather been fixing his dirt bike.
  • Snuggling up in bed after a really long day and feeling very fullfilled.
